Financial planning is so valuable in our lives. My goal is to guide and watch over your finances as if I were advising my own family.
I know what it’s like to worry about money. I was an engineer prior to becoming a stay-at-home mom, and the financial world was unfamiliar to me. When the stock market crashed in 2000 during the dotcom bust, my family and I lost quite a bit of money. Part of the problem was that we were being advised by institutional brokers who were not looking out for our unique situation and needs. I realized that I needed to understand our finances beyond saving and budgeting.
As my children grew more independent, I began thinking about my career again. Having taken an interest in financial planning, I knew that I wanted to help people take control of their financial lives the way I had wished someone had helped me to. So I went back to school and became a Certified Financial Planner®
Over the years, I have worked at various firms with clients from a wide range of economic backgrounds, from the ultra rich to the financially strapped. These diverse experiences have led me to Oak Street Advisory Group.
