After nearly five decades in the financial services industry, I am proud to provide mentorship to the Oak Street Team.
Having been in Financial Services for many years, as both a stockbroker and fee-only CFP®, I’m proud to contribute my expertise and experience as a consultant to Oak Street Advisory Group.
After beginning my career as an investment broker at firms such as Young, Smith & Peacock, Dean Witter, and Paine Webbe, I became a managing partner and owner of Prime Financial Securities. After several years in this role, I decided what really interested me was fee-only financial planning. I achieved my CFP® Certification and founded Duttenhofer Advisory Group, where I worked with individuals and families in Laguna Beach to help them make the most of their hard-earned assets. Later, to be able to focus solely on the needs of my clients, I transitioned them to Oak Street Advisory Group and let Meghan and her team handle the business side of things.
Helping my community means everything to me. I have served as the Treasurer for Laguna Beach Rotary, ICFP Orange County, and Financial Planning Association of Orange County. I am a Past President and Chairman of the Board of the Financial Planning Association of Orange County.
